Catalyst support grid
The retaining or support grid is installed in the lower part of the reaction zone.
Its main function is to retain the catalyst bed in the reactor while ensuring uniform catalyst distribution. The support grid consists of support beams designed for loads from the catalyst and gas-liquid medium under operating conditions, and support screens made of triangular-section wire that prevent catalyst pellets and ceramic balls from falling through. The support grid is supplied in a demountable design, allowing it to be installed through the manway directly inside the reactor.
